His work on excuses and justifications is, I think, incredibly good.  It's a shame it's not more widely read in epistemology where there seems to be nearly universal confusion about the marks that distinguish justification from excuse.  I've argued that this confusion is largely responsible for the mess that is the internalism/externalism literature.
