[By David Hunter]
Hi all, Richard has invited me along to guest blog here as well. As much as I have been enjoying Michael's posts on education, I thought I would add a different slant. However before I begin its only polite to introduce myself. I'm a lecturer in Bioethics at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, and a PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. My interests include bioethics (obviously), political theory (especially distributive justice & theories of freedom), research ethics and philosophy of religion.
While I don't have a blog of my own so to speak I have been a long time contributor to Prosblogion and I have recently been involved in setting up two group blogs, the first on ethical issues in resource allocation and the second on philosophy and bioethics
Both sites include something which I hope you will find useful, which I've called the Motherlode and can be found on the top left hand corner of the page. To open it you just click the + button. The motherlode compiles all the latest table of contents for bioethics journals, mainstream ethics journals, political theory journals and general philosophy journals as well as bioethics news & ethics related blogs into one place.
Right well onto a substantive rather than navel gazing post.

That's a long commute!
Yep, it is a bit of a walk... But fortunately the internet maintains long distance supervision relationships.
